Residential Dumpster Rental
A residential dumpster turns a weekend of trips to the dump into one delivery and one pickup. City Dumpsters drops a roll-off on your driveway or at the curb, you fill it at your own pace during the rental, and we haul it away. Pricing is flat and shown before you book, and if the container needs to go on the street, we handle your permit.

Home Cleanouts, Moves and Decluttering
Most residential rentals are cleanouts: a garage that has not seen a car in years, a basement before a sale, or a parent’s home after a move to assisted living. Having a dumpster on the driveway lets you sort and toss as you go instead of loading a truck for every run.
A 20 yard holds a packed two-car garage or most single-floor cleanouts. For a full house with furniture in every room, a 40 yard usually saves a second haul.
Driveway or Street Placement
If you have a driveway, that is the easiest spot and normally needs no permit. Lay plywood under the rails on newer or decorative concrete. Where there is no driveway, as on many San Francisco and Oakland blocks, the container goes at the curb with a city permit, and we handle your permit for you.
