20 Yard Dumpster Rental
Our most popular size for remodels and cleanouts
The 20 yard dumpster hits the sweet spot for most home projects. It holds a full garage cleanout, a kitchen or bathroom remodel, or a roof tear-off while still fitting on a typical driveway.

20 Yard Dumpster Weight Limit
Every 20 yard rental includes 2 tons of disposal. Weight above that is billed at $175 per ton, based on the scale ticket from the disposal facility.
Most household and remodel debris is bulky rather than dense, so a 20 yard usually fills by volume before it reaches the included weight. Shingles, tile and plaster are the exceptions; if your load is mostly those, tell us when you book.
Not sure what your debris weighs? See our overage and fees policy.

20 Yard Dumpster for Home Renovation
The 20 yard is the default for home renovation: a kitchen or one to two bathrooms, flooring from several rooms, a garage cleanout before a remodel, or a deck replacement. It holds cabinets, drywall, fixtures and packaging in one haul.

20 Yard Dumpster for Construction
On construction sites the 20 yard handles framing scrap, roofing tear-offs on a typical house, interior demolition and finish-phase cleanup. For larger jobs, scheduled swap-outs keep a 20 yard on site without using as much ground space as a 40.

Preparing for Your 20 Yard Dumpster
- Break down furniture and stack flat items first to fit more in.
- Roofing shingles are heavy; tell us the number of layers so we can confirm the weight allowance.
- Plan for about 60 feet of straight-line access for the truck, a 10–12 foot wide drop area and 23–25 feet of overhead clearance so the bed can tilt.
